About

Iya Bijin sits in the Iya (祖谷) gorge of Tokushima, a remote valley long cut off from the rest of Japan. Every room has its own private open-air bath looking out over the gorge, fed by free-flowing sulfur spring water that feels soft on the skin and carries a faint sulfur scent. There is no shared bath at all. The attached soba restaurant is open to visitors who aren't staying the night.
