A small ryokan at Yunokawa Onsen (湯の川温泉) in Izumo, counted among Japan's three "beauty springs" (Nihon Sanbijin no Yu, 日本三美人の湯) for water that leaves skin noticeably smooth. The spring flows fresh with no recirculation (kakenagashi, 掛け流し). Separate indoor baths serve men and women, and three private baths including one semi-open-air are free for overnight guests. A small shrine to the legendary princess Yakamihime (八上姫) stands at the entrance, tied to an old Izumo myth about the spring's origin.
