332. Yurara-no-yu, Nara ★★ A super sento with onsen water for 850-910. It is 15 minutes by car or 60 minutes by public transport, with inconvenient transfers and including 20-30 minutes on foot, from Nara Station. The opening hours are listed as 09:00 to 24:00 (Mon-Fri) and 07:00 to 24:00 (Sat-Sun). They stamp the Kansai 41 Super Sento 24/25 stamp rally. There is a massage service, a dining area, a hair salon, and massage chairs. The sign with the water composition was only inside the onsen. The bath sets alternate weekly between men and women: Tropical Bali-style and Pure Japanese style. I had the second option when I visited. The bath photos online are only partly accurate, in person the rotenburo looks more complete and feels even more powerful. 1. The outdoor area is very good. An artificial waterfall flows into a small pond, which surrounds the entire bath area. It all looks very cohesive and pleasant. 1.1. The large stone bath is big, the water is slightly cloudy, temperature 40. 1.2. The small stone bath, the water is slightly cloudy, temperature 40. 1.3. A small square bath by the waterfall, clear water, temperature 38. 1.4. A lying-down area behind the small pond, with no water in the area itself. 1.5. Sauna. 2. Indoor area. Breathing is fine. 2.1. Jet bath, clear water, temperature 40. 2.2. Carbonated bath with bubbles. 2.3. Sauna. 2.4. Steam sauna. 2.5. Cold bath. A very strong rotenburo for a super sento, plus the weekly change of bath sets for men and women. Definitely recommended for a visit. 04.01.2025
