Kumagai Ryokan sits in a quiet valley below Mt. Sanbe, with forest on all sides and a river just outside. The spring is carbonated and flows fresh without recirculation, producing a brownish, lightly cloudy water that coats the skin in small bubbles. The baths are all indoors and used as private kashikiri (貸切) sessions. The inn is small and accepts overnight guests only.
