About

A guesthouse in Yunomine, the pilgrims' hot-spring village where people still queue up to soak in the tiny Tsuboyu (つぼ湯). It occupies an old minshuku building: dorm bunks, a few private Japanese and Western rooms, a shared kitchen, and a tatami common room that gets a kotatsu in winter. The bathing is the good part. There are three baths, two indoor and one open-air, all on the same source as the rest of Yunomine and run source-fed with nothing added, and all of them are used privately, so you shut the door and have the hot spring to yourself.
