About

Shirahama's hot spring history goes back over 1,300 years, and this ryokan draws its water from the Yunozaki (湯崎) source at the center of it. There are no large communal baths here. All bathing is in private reserved baths, kashikiri (貸切), filled with unfiltered, uncirculated water flowing directly from the spring. The water has a soft, warming feel that stays with you after you get out. The building itself has been here for over 50 years and wears its age honestly, with a retro atmosphere that regulars clearly appreciate. Rooms look out over the ocean.
