About

Yao Oyuba is a day-use bathhouse (sento, 銭湯) in a residential part of Osaka's Yao city, built around a spacious open-air bath and a carbonated soak that regulars keep coming back for. Indoors there's a plain hot bath and a cold plunge, plus a tower-style dry sauna with an infrared stove and a rock stove at the center, with loyly and aufguss service (the women's side has its own salt sauna). The open-air area has loungers and a tatami spot to stretch out, with Mount Ikoma visible on a clear day. The building shows its age rather than looking polished, with a restaurant, a hair salon, and a small farmers' market by the entrance.

316 (21). Hot springs Yao OYUBA, Osaka Super sento with tap water for 850-900, 45-60 minutes from Osaka station. Operating hours listed as 09:00-00:00. They stamp the 41 Kansai Super Sento stamp rally 24/25. Has a restaurant, massage, gift shop, barber shop, and arcade games. 1. Outdoor area. Slight view of a mountain, power lines, and the city. 1.1. Silk stone bath, temperature around 40. 1.2. Small bath with clear water and bubbles, temperature around 38. 1.3. Jet zone. 1.4. Bath with clear water and TV, temperature around 38. 2. Indoor area. Breathing is fine, very faint chlorine smell. 2.1. Hot bath with clear water, temperature around 40-41. 2.2. Sauna. 2.3. Cold bath. Overall a cozy place, but tap water compared to the competition with natural hot spring onsens in Osaka makes it of little interest for visiting.
