Sodium Chloride spring

A sodium-chloride spring carrying a faint brown tint at the source and a mild salty tang on the lips. Weakly alkaline and soft on the skin, with 87 mg/kg of metasilicic acid contributing the kind of silica film associated with Japan's "beauty-water" family. Iodide is unusually high at 12.2 mg/kg — enough to qualify as an iodine-bearing spring, so the water deepens in colour on contact with air.

269. Daito Onsen Seatopia, Shizuoka Public onsen for 600, listed hours 11:00–21:00, except Tue. They stamp the 60 Onsen of Shizuoka 24/25 booklet. Located near the shore — Hawaiian vibes, palm trees, but looks a bit run-down, as if the budget got cut at some point. Has surfing themes. Accommodation available. 1. Outdoor area. 1.1. Main bath. Iron water, clear-brown. Temperature 40. Online photo matches. 1.2. Separate large bath with a jet zone, not in operation. 2. Indoor area. Stuffy. 2.1. Main bath, temperature 41. 2.2. Bath with jet zones, temperature 40. 2.3. Sauna. 2.4. Cold bath. Not very conveniently located, the place is questionable despite interesting water. Can be skipped.
