117. Shiraitonotaki onsen, bath #3, Beppu An onsen where they give you one of three different private baths for 50 minutes at 1000 yen. If nobody is at the entrance, you need to ring the bell (it's to the left). They give a stamp. I got bath #3. Water is clear with a slight cloudiness, with fine white mineral deposits. Water temperature hot+. There's a slightly sulfurous smell. Breathing in the bath is good. Cool format, cool bath - I'd gladly try the other baths too if there's no line. Recommended for a visit.
