Konashinoyu Sasaya is a single-inn ryokan tucked in a birch grove at the edge of Shirahone Onsen, away from the main hot-spring street. Its indoor baths, Hime-no-yu and Tono-no-yu (姫の湯・殿の湯), are split by gender and open their glass doors wide in warm weather for a near open-air soak among the birches; a separate building holds a free, reservable outdoor bath, Konashi-no-yu (小梨の湯), booked in 30-minute slots from check-in. The water is milky white with a gentle sulfur smell, kept flowing fresh, and clean enough at the source to drink. Years of mineral buildup have coated the tubs in slow-formed patterns unique to each visit. It's a stay-only inn, with no day-use bathing.
