The bathing area has a large indoor bath and a separate open-air rock bath (rotenburo, 露天風呂) called Ecchu Tonami Onsen (越中となみ温泉). Only the outdoor bath draws natural spring water; the indoor pool runs heated water. Both areas have sauna and a cold plunge. From the rotenburo you get an open view across the Tonami Plain (砺波平野) toward the Tateyama range. The hotel itself is a large Accor property, formerly known as Royal Hotel Toyama Tonami (ロイヤルホテル富山砺波) under the Daiwa Resort group, rebranded to the Mercure flag in recent years.
