A hot (93.6 °C) source from the Tenman Onsen Kumiai well in Beppu, pumped from 231 m depth. Sodium-led bicarbonate-chloride water — the classic jūsō-sen style with a salty edge layered in. Weakly alkaline at pH 8.8, it sits in Japan's beauty-water family with a slippery, soft feel on the skin. A generous 166 mg/kg of metasilicic acid leaves the kind of silica film that makes skin noticeably smoother afterwards.
