A municipally operated simple thermal spring in Beppu. Hot at the wellhead (58.5 °C) with a neutral pH of 6.9 and a light total mineralization of 0.72 g/kg — gentle on the body, with no sharp character. Metasilicic acid is unusually high at 151 mg/kg, leaving the thin silica film that makes skin feel noticeably smoother afterwards, placing it on the soft-water edge of Japan's beauty-water family.
