About

Genuine onsen is uncommon in Okinawa, which makes Enjin-no-Yu (猿人の湯) at Yuinchi Hotel worth knowing. The main bath is a large indoor pool behind floor-to-ceiling glass on a hilltop, with views over the Pacific coast by day and Nanjo's lights at night. The spring flows kakenagashi (source-direct, nothing added or filtered), and regulars note the water leaves skin feeling soft. Inside you'll also find a utaseyu (waterfall-jet bath), a seasonal yakuyu (herb bath), saunas for both men and women with a cold plunge, and private reserved baths available separately. The facility is part of a hotel complex and has a dining room serving Okinawan food and awamori.
