Nageshi onsen

104. Nageshi Onsen, Beppu Old-school onsen in a historic building. Costs 200. They stamp both the Beppu onsen passport and the 88 Onsens of Kyushu booklet. No soap/shampoo, but there's even a shower. Inside there's one small bath. Clear water, hot+. Breathing is excellent. The bathing area feels very cozy and atmospheric thanks to the building itself — high ceilings, old windows. Recommended for a visit. The 88 Onsens of Kyushu folks know what they're doing.
