Calcium-Sodium Chloride spring

A hot (45.5 °C) calcium-sodium chloride spring at neutral pH 7.3. At the wellhead it carries a strongly salty taste and a faint hydrogen sulfide note; the sulfide is volatile and the lab sample 24 hours later is odorless while the salt remains. Moderately mineralized (5.37 g/kg dissolved solids) with noticeable body on the skin.

457. Fuji no En, Fukuoka Onsen for 600-1000. Operating hours listed as 10:00 to 22:00 (Wed-Mon) and 16:00 to 22:00 (Tue). They stamp the 88 Onsen of Kyushu book. Bath photos from the internet, accurate. Indoor bath with clear water, temperature 40. Has a sauna accessible through the onsen area. Outside on an enclosed balcony, a stone lying zone with clear water, temperature 39-40. Separate small cold bath. Simple but cool place. Popular with locals, there was a decent crowd. 31.03.2025
