262. Mori no Cottage, Kawane Onsen complex for 1000. Higaeri listed from 10:00 to 20:00 (except Wed). They stamp the 60 Onsen of Shizuoka 24/25 booklet. Has a restaurant, chill zone, and shop. The onsen is part of a cottage complex in the countryside with accommodation and BBQ. Real middle-of-nowhere feel. Online photos roughly match but don't really show the outdoor bath and its great view. 1. Indoor area. Easy to breathe. 1.1. Main indoor bath. Clear water, slightly cloudy with fine lime deposits. Temperature 40. 1.2. Standing bath at 130 cm depth, temperature 40. Clear, slightly cloudy water. Very pleasant bath. 1.3. Small jet area, temperature 40. 1.4. Sauna. 1.5. Cold bath. 2. Outdoor bath with a gorgeous view of the river, mountains, forest, and maple trees. Would be incredible during autumn foliage season. Separately from the bath, a plastic throne-chair was placed in the center where you could fully enjoy the panoramic views. Slightly cloudy water without lime, temperature 41. Interesting place worth considering — especially during foliage season.
