Cave BathAbout
The baths here draw from a natural cave spring (Dokutsu-no-yu, 洞窟の湯), and the water comes out clear and noticeably smooth on the skin. There is a communal indoor bath, an outdoor bath with a forest view, and a private kashikiri (貸切) bath that also uses the cave-spring water, available for lodging guests. Select suites have their own rotenburo. The main building dates from the Taisho and early Showa periods, and the atmosphere inside reflects that age. No day use; overnight stays only.
