About

A quiet 10-room ryokan standing among the rice fields of West Izu, and the only inn on this spring. The large kashikiri (貸切) open-air bath is available for exclusive use, and several rooms come with their own private onsen tubs, all fed by kakenagashi water piped directly from the spring without exposure to air. A drinking fountain on the grounds lets guests taste the water as it comes up. The inn left the Nihon Hito wo Mamoru Kai (日本秘湯を守る会), Japan's "secret hot spring" innkeepers association, in 2022 and now protects its spring on its own terms. No day use; stays only.
