About

Yokogawa Onsen Nakanoya (横川温泉 中野屋旅館) sits in the forested hills of Satomi, Ibaraki, and has been running for roughly 200 years. The spring is artesian, meaning it rises on its own without pumping, and the water is a clear, faintly slippery sulfur spring that warms you through. Separate large baths for men and women, plus private baths (kashikiri, 貸切風呂) you can book by the hour. The facility also has a ganbanyoku (岩盤浴), a low-temperature stone sauna with a tourmaline-inlaid floor. The inn accepts day visitors as well as overnight guests.
