Spadium Japon is a five-floor day-use complex in Higashikurume, west Tokyo, with around 15 different baths across indoor and open-air areas. The water is natural onsen, clear and notably smooth on the skin, which is less common for this part of Kanto. Alongside the onsen pools you get a high-concentration carbonated bath, a carbonated cold pool, an electric bath, a silk bath, jet baths, and seasonal herb pools. The sauna section runs two options: a high-heat steam sauna with a regular loyly (ro-ri-yu, ロウリュウ) session, and a milder salt sauna. An outdoor terrace adds barrel and tent saunas. The ganbanyoku (岩盤浴) floor spans four rooms with over 100 beds, one of the larger setups in Kanto. For winding down there is a lounge stocked with 30,000 manga volumes and a food court with several restaurants. Free shuttle buses run from four nearby train stations.
