199. Ooedo Hotel Suiyotei, Atami ★ I stayed overnight, but did not take meals. It looks like a large hotel, about five minutes by car from Atami Station. The main highlight of the hotel is the outdoor bath in the rocks with a great view of the bay. There is a separate path to the bath, partly along the street. As I understood it, it alternates between men and women. At the top, the only amenity is one shower. The water is clear and hot. Beyond the fence there was also a shallow bath a little lower down, but it was empty and used as a drain. In the indoor area: 1. The main indoor bath with a view of the bay. On paper it looked interesting, but in reality the view is not that great, and the glass spoils the scenery. The water is clear, temperature 40. 2. Next to the main bath there is an extra bath. There is also a partial view. The water is clear, temperature about 41. 3. A round bath with a bubble area. The water is clear, temperature 43. 4. Sauna. 5. Cold-water bath. For me, this turned out to be the best option near the station, with a very good outdoor bath and the option to book without meals, since in my plan breakfast and dinner did not fit the timing for this slot.
