A small ryokan in the mountain village of Shiramine (白峰), with an indoor onsen bath on the top floor. The water is smooth on the skin, and the bath's wide windows look out over the rooftops and hills, especially rewarding in winter when snow covers the valley. The inn is known for its generous home-style cooking, attentive hosts, and a relaxed attitude toward pets, including two resident cats.
