Kissho CAREN (吉祥CAREN) sits in Kitagawa Onsen (北川温泉) on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula, marketed as an o-iwai-no-yado (お祝いの宿), a ryokan for celebrations. The shared baths run as kakenagashi, and several rooms come with their own private rotenburo. From the outdoor baths you can see across Sagami Bay to Izu Oshima on a clear day. The water is faintly salty and smooth on the skin. The shared indoor and outdoor baths alternate between male and female sides. A sister property, Tsuruya Kisshotei (つるや吉祥亭), is a short shuttle ride away.
