Kibō-sō

438. Kibō-sō, Yunoyama Onsen ★★ We visited for a day trip (listed as 11:00 to 21:00, price ¥600). There are two entrances, and one of the reception desks is on the mountain. From that reception desk to the building with the onsen, you ride a funicular, and right away there is a very steep view of Nagoya in an LA style. At the time of our visit, it was included in the Yunoyama stamp-rally, January to March 2025. The bath photos are from the internet, and they match only partly, with the caveat that we visited in daylight. The sample photo of the city view from the funicular station looks very similar to the view from the bath, except for the thin fence of rods in the onsen. The sign photo is from the internet. The rotenburo is a stone bath with an amazing view of the city. For safety, there is a fence made of horizontal rods. They are thin, so overall the view is not affected much. The water is clear, and the temperature is 40. The uchiyu has clear water, and the temperature is 41. It is comfortable to breathe. There is a steam sauna. A very good evening day-trip option when visiting Yunoyama Onsen. A beautiful and unique view from the onsen for the settlement. 17.01.2025
