The lodge here occupies a renovated onsen ryokan building on the shore of Tateshina lake, and its shared bathhouse has a light, weakly acidic onsen water, with the resort's own natural skincare line at hand. None of the rooms have their own bath, not in the lodge, the cabins, or the campsites, so everyone walks over to this one bathhouse to soak. TINY GARDEN is a camp, cabin, and lodge resort run by URBAN RESEARCH, set among white birch trees at around 1,250 meters by the lake. Twenty-four cabins ring the campground, and a paid private wood-stove sauna cabin is bookable separately from the bath, limited to three groups a day, with self-poured steam, a cold plunge, and an outdoor spot to cool off.
