Day Use
YesDay-use bathing runs late April to early November (in 2026, April 24 to November 4); closed for winter outside that window. Closed May 7, June 3, July 1, September 2 and October 7, 2026. Wednesday mornings the men's outdoor bath is closed for cleaning (indoor bath only); Thursday mornings the same applies to the women's outdoor bath.
Adults (junior-high school age and up) ¥750, children (elementary school age) ¥300, tax included. Bath towel rental and face towels are ¥200 each.

About
Ariakeso sits at 1,380 meters in the Nakabusa valley (中房渓谷), inside Chubu-Sangaku National Park, about 700 meters below the trailhead for Mt. Tsubakuro (燕岳). It's a public lodge run by the same company behind Enzanso (燕山荘), the mountain hut higher up the ridge, so many guests are climbers passing through on the way up or down. The main bath is a large open-air pool, separate for men and women, filled with sulfur water piped from a spring nearby and cooled with stream water, soft on the skin. There's also a wood-scented indoor bath and two private family baths kept for overnight guests. A free baggage room, boot-washing area and drying room round out the place, which closes for winter and opens only from spring to autumn.
