A ryokan tucked in the mountains of Tsuruoka City with one standout feature: a massive mixed outdoor bath fed by 800 liters of alkaline spring water per minute, unheated and uncirculated. The pool is wide enough that guests have been known to swim laps and let children splash around, the inn even keeps floats on hand. The surrounding forest keeps it quiet and shaded.
