About
Pokke no Yu is a compact day-use bath that opened in 2019 on the grounds of Maure Sanso in the Hokkaido mountains, drawing from its own spring separate from the main lodge. The water is clear and has a noticeably silky, smooth feel. There is an indoor bath, a small cypress open-air bath, and a wood-fired sauna hut where guests feed the firewood themselves. Inside, a wood-burning stove and a quiet rest area next to the front desk round out the visit.
