KKR湯沢ゆきぐに
Uses natural hot spring water
One 2025 Google review names the spring type: '温泉は単純泉です' (simple thermal spring); not corroborated by an official source since the site was unreachable.
Enclosed indoor bathing area
Reviews describe a large communal indoor bath ('大浴場は広くて開放感があり') on the 7th floor with a view; not confirmed whether it includes an open-air (露天) section.
Dry heat sauna room
Also confirmed by a 2023 English review: 'free Sauna'.
Restaurant or dining open to visitors (not just hotel meal plans)
Reviews describe dinner/breakfast served at 'their restaurant' with a changing daily menu; likely primarily serves overnight lodging guests at set meal times rather than day-use walk-ins.
On-site or nearby parking available
The operator's own facility page (kkr.or.jp, fetched via web search, not in crawled site/ sources) states 駐車場 38台 (38 parking spaces).
KKR Yuzawa Yukiguni is a member lodge of Japan's National Public Service Personnel Mutual Aid Federation (the KKR in the name), a short uphill walk from Echigo-Yuzawa Station. The onsen bath is on the seventh floor, an open hall looking out over the Yuzawa mountains, with a sauna next to it. Dinner and breakfast come from the in-house restaurant, and Uonuma-grown Koshihikari rice is a regular on the menu. It's a laid-back, no-frills stay rather than a resort, popular enough in ski season that rooms fill up fast.
