The onsen at our previous stay, Kamenoi Ichinoseki, wasn't the most interesting, but it had a view. Only the indoor bath had natural water though. For the price it's top-tier: 2000 yen for three people with meals, very well done.

The onsen here draws from Horyu Onsen (宝竜温泉), a salt spring that leaves the skin feeling warm and smooth. The large communal bath is paired with an open-air rotenburo (露天風呂) looking out toward Kurikoma mountain, and the two bathrooms swap between men and women overnight so guests can try both sides. Day visitors are welcome as well.
