MountainsThe onsen here draws from Horyu Onsen (宝竜温泉), a salt spring that leaves the skin feeling warm and smooth. The large communal bath is paired with an open-air rotenburo (露天風呂) looking out toward Kurikoma mountain, and the two bathrooms swap between men and women overnight so guests can try both sides. Day visitors are welcome as well.

The onsen at our previous stay, Kamenoi Ichinoseki, wasn't the most interesting, but it had a view. Only the indoor bath had natural water though. For the price it's top-tier: 2000 yen for three people with meals, very well done.
