The hotel's bathing hall, Ajara SPA (あじゃらSPA), is a large room scented with local Aomori hiba (青森ヒバ) wood, paired with a separate hexagonal open-air bath outside. There's also a foot bath, and in season an apple bath with apples floating in the water. Aomori Winery Hotel sits on a hilltop above Owani Onsen (大鰐温泉), a hot spring with a long history in the Tsugaru region, once listed among Japan's noted springs in an Edo-period onsen guide and long favored by the local domain's lords. From the hotel's upper floors the Tsugaru plain spreads out below, with Mt. Iwaki on the horizon. Bathing is currently for overnight guests only, day-use visits are paused for now.
