About

Miyoshiya is a small stay-only inn in Matsunoyama, one of Japan's three noted medicinal hot spring towns. The two indoor baths, one larger and one smaller, are booked for private use only, so it's just you or your group each time, and the water runs hot with a faint mineral smell that many visitors remember long after. There's no in-house dining: guests self-cater in the shared kitchen or head next door to the inn's own affiliated restaurant. Rooms are plain tatami spaces where you lay out your own futon, the whole place has a bit of a retro feel, and a resident cat has the run of the halls.
