About

The rotenburo at Hotel Kurobe looks straight across to Kurobe Gorge (黒部峡谷, Kurobe Kyo), where the famous narrow-gauge trolley railway runs below. The view shifts with the seasons, from spring cherry blossoms and summer greens to autumn color and snow-draped winter. The clear, gentle spring water is mild enough for babies and pregnant guests. The large indoor bath shares the same gorge views through wide windows. The hotel has operated since 1965 and is the only ryokan adjacent to both the Yamabiko Bridge (山彦橋, Yamabikobashi) and Unazuki Dam.
