About
A hot-spring inn up in the hills of Nishiyoshino (西吉野), in Gojo, that took day bathers as well as overnight guests. Besides the gender-separated indoor baths there was an open-air section with ceramic tubs, and a sauna and cold bath alongside. The water ran clear with pale flakes of mineral (yunohana, 湯の花) drifting in it, salty and heavily mineralised, slippery enough that the feeling stayed on your skin after you had towelled off. It closed for good in November 2022.
