Uses natural hot spring water
Described on site as a simple spring (単純泉/tanjun-sen), said to help with rheumatism, skin ailments, gynecological conditions, neuralgia and fatigue recovery.
Open-air outdoor bath
The outdoor bath was closed in mid-2025 due to reduced hot-spring supply and reopened in June 2026, but water volume has not fully recovered so only one outdoor bath is usable, waiting may occur, and it can become unavailable again depending on supply.

Yusho Fukujikan is a small, family-run ryokan in Fukuji, a quieter corner of Okuhida Onsengo. Two indoor baths and an outdoor bath are all private, kashikiri-style, drawing on the spring known locally as Tenno-sen (天皇泉), meaning Emperor's Spring, said to be named for a Heian-era emperor who bathed here in secret; local legend also ties the water to Heike-clan warriors who once hid in the area. The water is kept flowing rather than recirculated, and past guests describe it as gentle on the skin and deeply warming, the kind of soak that leaves you glowing long after you're out. The inn itself is old-fashioned in the best sense: guest rooms are named for wayside wildflowers, and the lobby is built around a smoke-darkened irori hearth that has been burning for a hundred years. Guests often mention the nostalgic, lived-in feel, more like a family home than a hotel.
