幡渓温泉 オサル湯ばんけいおんせん おさるゆ
Uses natural hot spring water
Shared bathing area for all genders
A roadside wild spring along the Osaru River in Sobetsu, named after the river rather than any monkeys. The bathtub is right on the riverbank off Route 453, and in better days it was a reliable free soak managed informally by the now-demolished Bankei Health Center next door. Recent reports indicate the bath is buried in mud and unclear to find, with only faint warm spots remaining in places. Worth knowing about for historical interest, but the current condition is uncertain.
