About

The indoor bath is fed straight from the hot spring and kept flowing rather than recirculated, and it runs hot enough that most guests dilute it themselves before getting in. There's no rotenburo and no private bath, just separate baths for men and women, each with a small washing area. The building is a three-story wooden inn from 1953, said to be the oldest still standing among Atsumi Onsen's ryokan, with creaking floors and rooms that show their age rather than hide it. It's a small family operation: guests often mention the young owner and his wife by name in reviews, and the inn also sells goods tied to the local Onsen Musume (温泉むすめ) tourism-mascot campaign at the front desk.
