About

Yuzankaku is a large hot-spring hotel in Yamashiro Onsen, one of the hot-spring towns of Kaga in Ishikawa. Its baths rotate between men and women through the day and include an outdoor bath called Ochiba no Yu (落葉の湯), a big indoor bath named Kenroku (兼六) with a cold-water pool, and a marble bath built to resemble a Greek temple. There's also a sauna, plus a foot bath where you warm your feet in a tub of heated ceramic balls. The spring itself is a simple, mild water, gentle on the skin rather than sharp or strongly scented. Some guest rooms come with their own cypress tub or a Kutani-ware (九谷焼) open-air bath for a private soak, and dinner is served buffet-style in the hotel's own dining hall, Rokumei-tei (ろくめい亭).
