Yamashin

Sandaime Yamashin (三代目 山新, san-dai-me ya-ma-shin) is a small, family-run inn in Tsunagi Onsen on the edge of Morioka. The two indoor baths, one for men and one for women, are on the compact side, but the water runs fresh from the source without recirculation. The sulfur spring has a pronounced scent and leaves the skin noticeably smooth. An informal slipper-at-the-entrance system lets you soak without sharing the tub. The building is well-worn and Showa in character, kept clean throughout; meals are served in a shared dining room.
