恐山温泉 花染の湯おそれざんおんせん はなぞめのゆ
Uses natural hot spring water
Shared bathing area for all genders
A hidden bath tucked behind the main temple complex at Osorezan (恐山), one of Japan's most sacred, and eerie, Buddhist sites. It's easy to walk right past without finding it; ask or look carefully around the back of the post-town building. Three connected baths flow from a single source at the far end, so the furthest pool is slightly cooler than the nearest. The water quality is exceptional, though the temperature shifts depending on the day. No showers, no frills, just strong mountain spring water in an unforgettable setting.
