Hisagoso is a ryokan in Tsukioka Onsen, a hot spring town in Niigata. It has a separate open-air bath for men and women, an indoor bath for each side, and a private bath you can reserve for yourselves. Some of the room types come with their own open-air tub built in. The water is the sulfur spring the town is built around: faintly emerald green with a real sulfur smell, and long called Bijin-no-yu (美人の湯), the 'beautiful skin' spring, for how smooth it leaves your skin. The ryokan itself has 43 rooms and a barrier-free layout throughout, and guests often mention staff lending wheelchairs and going out of their way for anyone with limited mobility.
