Day Use
YesDay-use bathing times are booked through an online calendar and vary from day to day. A winter-only (Dec-Mar) 'trial' plan runs mostly after 15:00. The day-use private-room rest plan (check-in at 6:00, 9:00, or 15:00, up to 6 hours) runs on a limited basis in winter (Dec-Apr).
Day-use family-bath plan (60 min, standard): 1 adult 2,000 yen, 2 adults 2,200 yen, 3 adults 2,700 yen (bathing tax included; children up to elementary-school age free with an accompanying adult). A winter-only (Dec-Mar) 'trial' plan runs 1 adult 2,500 yen, 2 adults 2,700 yen, 3 adults 3,200 yen and includes a rest period before and after bathing, mostly after 15:00. A separate day-use private-room rest plan (up to 6 hours, bath included) runs roughly 2,500-4,500 yen per person on weekdays and 2,750-5,500 yen on weekends/holidays. Reservation required; discounts (Iwate-resident, early-morning) are cash-only.

About
Yasumori is a self-catering guesthouse with a single shared family bath, its water piped in from Matsukawa Onsen (松川温泉), a well-known hot spring nearby, and kept flowing fresh rather than recirculated (kakenagashi, 掛け流し). The bathroom is lined in hinoki (檜) cypress, and the water carries a faint sulfur scent. There's no bath in the rooms: guests book a turn in the one bath, usually in 30 to 60 minute slots. Rooms are simple and there's no restaurant on-site, so most guests bring their own food or drive out to eat nearby. The guesthouse sits in the Hachimantai highlands, used by hikers and skiers passing through, and several reviews mention the owner running the place alone and looking after guests personally.
