Izumiya Hotel, Shizuoka An old ryokan run entirely by a Japanese family, now in its second generation. It is located on the lower level of the onsen town of Umegashima. We stayed here during an onsen trip. Our large group was welcomed very warmly, we were checked in later than the stated time, a communal table was set for us, and overall the service was 10/10. There are two small indoor stone baths at around 41 degrees, and a small rotenburo (not working). A nice, heartfelt place, not luxury.
