Tenkuu is a day-use bathhouse near Kirishima made up of eleven separate cottage buildings, each rented out by the hour to one group at a time. Every cottage has its own indoor bath, an open-air rotenburo, a sauna and a cold bath, so there is no shared bathhouse to wait for. The water is real hot-spring water, kept fresh and flowing rather than reheated and reused. Rooms come with a fridge, microwave and washing area, and bringing your own food is fine. There is no lodging here, just hourly private soaking, with baby baths and chairs available for families.
