A ryokan on the Kuma River in Hitoyoshi, with roots going back to 1829 and rebuilt after the 2020 flooding. The large communal bath and outdoor bath run on free-flowing spring water (kakenagashi, 源泉掛け流し), and the upper-floor indoor bath looks out over the river and the ruins of Hitoyoshi Castle. The water is smooth and silky on the skin. Private baths (kashikiri, 家族風呂) and a sauna are also available, and suite rooms come with their own in-room onsen baths. A riverside foot bath sits just outside.
