About

This small ryokan sits in Nakao Onsen, part of Okuhida Onsengo, with three garden-style outdoor baths that look out toward the Northern Alps. Staying guests can use all three for free as private (kashikiri, 貸切) baths. Indoors there are separate baths for men and women, filled with hot spring water that runs a little on the warm side and keeps overflowing, so they stay open around the clock. It's a simple sulfur spring, just a faint whiff of sulfur in the air. There's no day-use bathing here, only for overnight guests, and a small lounge in the building for cards, reading or a nap between soaks.
