Notenburo Yunogo

Notenburo Yunosato is a big day-use bathing complex in Noda, on the edge of Tokyo's northern suburbs. The bathing area covers a lot of ground: an open-air rotenburo and rock bath, an indoor bath, a small tsubo-yu (壺湯) soaking tub, a utaseyu (打たせ湯) waterfall bath tucked in a back room, plus jet and electric baths and a chilled bath cooled with binchotan charcoal. Men and women get separate sauna rooms with a different character each, a drier sauna on one side and a gentler steam sauna kept around 50 to 55C on the other. Upstairs there's a restaurant, an esthetic and scrub salon, a massage room, and a lounge stocked with roughly 3,000 manga volumes and a coworking corner. It's a pure day-use spot with no rooms to stay the night, more a place locals pop into for a long soak than a stop on a trip.
