Hotel Yagi runs on its own hot-spring source in Awara Onsen, kept flowing rather than recycled through separate indoor and open-air baths for men and women, each with its own sauna. The water is a salty chloride spring known locally as Atsu-no-yu (熱の湯), the hot spring that keeps you warm well after you towel off. One room category comes with its own private open-air bath, and there's a foot bath out on the grounds too. The stay itself is all-inclusive and unpretentious: a big evening buffet, all-you-can-drink beer from midday, and a manga and magazine lounge worth losing an afternoon in.
