About
A free, open-air seaside bath on Shikinejima island, one of the Izu Islands south of Tokyo. It's right on the coast, so you soak while the sea breeze comes in off the water. The spring here is the only clear, colorless one on the island. Swimsuits are required, and the bath is open around the clock. At night, the stars overhead make it memorable.
